Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator / CDL Driver to join our construction team. This position involves operating heavy equipment and commercial vehicles to support construction, site work, and snow operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, a safety-first mindset, and experience working in demanding job site environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers, loaders, and backhoes
Drive CDL or non-CDL trucks for material hauling, equipment transport, and job site support
Perform snow plowing and snow removal operations during winter weather events
Assist with site preparation, grading, trenching, and general construction labor as needed
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
Perform routine equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies at all times
Work closely with crew members to meet project schedules and quality standards

Qualifications

Valid CDL (Class A or B preferred) with a clean driving record
DOT medical card (required for CDL drivers)
Experience operating heavy construction equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work long hours, early mornings, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts (especially during snow events)
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift heavy materials
Knowledge of construction site safety and traffic control practices
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred (Not Required)

Experience with lowboy or equipment hauling
Snow plow and salt spreader experience
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
