Capital Paving & Construction (CPC) - Rocky Mountain Region is a heavy highway and civil construction company in Colorado. We are in search of a lead pipe/utility mainline excavator operator for projects along the Front Range and throughout Colorado.

JOB DUTIES:

Looking for a production-oriented lead excavator operator for utility crew. Will run the mainline excavator (Cat 352/John Deere 350G) performing sloped, benched or trench box excavations for the installation of storm sewer and underground utilities.
Will be required to hold accurate grades, dig around utilities and work with ground crews while operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Routine maintenance on the equipment, to include keeping equipment greased, cleaned and operable.
Communicate with foreman and coworkers to the daily job specifications.
Perform general labor duties when necessary and work with labor crew when not operating equipment.
Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
Work in a variety of positions throughout the day including standing, stooping, bending at the waist, at waist level, shoulder height and above the head.

Requirements

- 2+ Years of previous utility excavator operating experience.
- Experienced with trench and excavation safety, underground utility construction, hoisting & rigging safety and knowledge of construction stakes for alignment and grade is a must.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel with some overnights possible.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions including hot and cold temperatures and humidity.
- Ability to properly follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA requirements for safe working procedures and environments.
- Willingness to undergo a background check, physical, drug, and alcohol testing.
