Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service, as well as the ability to handle various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers and flatbeds.
Duties
- Operate a tractor-trailer or roll-off truck to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while maintaining compliance with all traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the truck, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Skills
- Proficient in truck driving with experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with various types of trucks, including flatbed, refrigerated trailers, and tractor-trailers.
- Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently through urban and rural areas.
- Excellent load unloading capabilities, ensuring cargo is handled safely and securely.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism in customer interactions.
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records and vehicle inspections.
