POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on machines
- Practice workplace safety
- Perform deep trenching methods using trench boxes and slide rail systems.
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth to grade specifications.
- Knowledge of operation of excavators and other pieces of heavy equipment (CAT preferred)
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to work in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Ability to install sewer, water, duct banks, and storm drain pipes
- Must be honest, trustworthy, and demonstrate sound work ethics
- Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance
- Must have transportation, be punctual, and dependable
- Working knowledge of trench boxes
- Willingness to travel
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Sit 1/3 – 2/3 of the time
- Lift between 25 – 80 pounds - 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
- Reach with hands and arms 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
- Climb or balance 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
- Climb up and down ladders
- 5 years experience and/or training (CAT experience preferred).
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and process manuals.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license with a safe driving record.
