Summary
Joyce Companies is seeking motivated, professional individuals to join and lead our heavy equipment crews. We have openings for compact skid steer operators, excavator operators, laborers, and CDL truck drivers.
Responsibilities
- Must have experience operating compact skid steers, establishing subgrades, and performing finish grading using grading lasers.
- Knowledge of subgrading, finish grading, septic systems, sewer work, drainage, and water utility work is required.
- Must be able to read and implement grading and site utility plans.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of landscaping projects by moving materials and machinery as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks on construction sites effectively.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Transport materials and equipment to various job sites as required.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, including backhoes, front loaders, and concrete mixers.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while following instructions from supervisors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Additional equipment experience is a plus.
- Candidates must be highly self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work well with others—this is a team-first environment!
- A Massachusetts hoisting license and a valid state driver’s license are required for all equipment operator positions.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
