The Town of Cohasset is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to work at the town's Recycling Transfer Facility.
Reporting to the RTF Foreman and serving as part of an integrated Public Works operation, the RTF HEO will perform skilled manual work in operating heavy equipment used in constructing, maintaining, and repairing public works' Recycling Transfer Facility. Work includes the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment and vehicles.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, or the equivalent in experience, and a minimum of and two (2) years of advanced technical/vocational training and experience in the operation of heavy equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidates must hold a valid Class B CDL driver's license, Class A CDL preferred.
- Hoisting Engineer's 2B, 4E and 4G licenses
- A valid DOT Medical Examiners Certificate or willing to obtain upon hire
- Safe and effective heavy equipment operation techniques and practices
A collective bargaining unit represents this position and is 19 hours per week or less, with a possible rotating weekend schedule.
Salary: $27.69 per hour with annual performance-based step increases and cost-of-living (COLA); Cohasset offers a comprehensive benefits package.
