Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Loader Operator to join our snow removal team for the upcoming winter season. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment in winter conditions and can work safely and efficiently during snow events, often on short notice. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a front-end loader to remove snow from parking lots, roadways, and designated areas.
- Load snow into trucks for hauling and disposal.
- Maintain equipment before, during, and after shifts (fueling, clearing snow buildup, checking fluids, etc.)
- Follow site maps, directions and safety procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with plow truck drivers, sidewalk crews, and site managers.
- Be available for on call shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Skills
- Must have valid driver's and hoisting license.
- Minimum 1-3 years of loader or heavy equipment operating experience.
- Experience in snow removal operations preferred.
- Ability to work in cold, fast-paced and low visibility conditions.
- Dependable, safety focused and able to work independently.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from job site.
