Join our dynamic team as an Excavator Operator, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the landscape of our construction projects! You will operate heavy machinery, including excavators, dozers, and backhoes, to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Your expertise will be vital in executing excavation work, site preparation, and material handling while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.

FIRST SHIFT POSITION.

What you’ll do

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, and backhoes to perform excavation and grading tasks.
Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use.
Collaborate with construction teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
Execute horizontal drilling operations as needed for utility installations.
Safely transport materials using dump trucks and water trucks on-site.
Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Follow all safety protocols to create a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Assist in paving operations as required to support project completion.

Basic qualifications

Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery on construction sites.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.

Preferred qualifications

Commercial driving experience with valid licenses for operating heavy vehicles such as tankers and dump trucks.
Familiarity with grader operation and paving techniques.
Previous experience in construction environments with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
