You will operate heavy machinery, including excavators, dozers, and backhoes, to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. FIRST SHIFT POSITION.
What you’ll do
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, and backhoes to perform excavation and grading tasks.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use.
- Collaborate with construction teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Execute horizontal drilling operations as needed for utility installations.
- Safely transport materials using dump trucks and water trucks on-site.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols to create a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Assist in paving operations as required to support project completion.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery on construction sites.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
Preferred qualifications
- Commercial driving experience with valid licenses for operating heavy vehicles such as tankers and dump trucks.
- Familiarity with grader operation and paving techniques.
- Previous experience in construction environments with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
