The Line Operator II is responsible for safely operating production equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in the efficient operation of multiple pieces of production equipment and/or lines according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), food/employee safety requirements and guidelines to meet daily labor and waste goals as planned and driven by management
- Utilize Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime, perform quality compliance documents and communicate with support functions
- Actively participate in department huddles and communication issues
- Complete change overs for their assigned equipment and/or production line
- Learn and maintain customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality
- Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications
- Own a Safety system in their area and maintains a system rating of seven or above
- Actively participate in Loss Analysis and makes recommendations to reduce loss
- Actively participate in Multi Cause Analysis (MCA) and adds input within their area of expertise
- Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications
- Accurately completes all quality, traceability, and production paperwork
- Report any product deficiencies, food, or safety concerns to supervisor
- Perform minor equipment adjustments to ensure equipment is operating optimally
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and assists others with product change overs
- Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
- Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury, accident, or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
- Support and comply with GMP's; understand and follow emergency action plan
- Support food safety, quality, and legality
- Ensure the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of machine operating/production experience preferred
- Technical skills include the ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment, participation in loss analysis and MCA analysis, and ability to perform corrective maintenance
- Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset
- Good computer skills with intermediate knowledge of production software, preferably Redzone
- Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication, good time management skills and the ability to follow rules and directions
- Team leadership skills with ability to provide constructive feedback
