Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of equipment to support building and excavation projects.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators and skid steers on construction sites.
- Perform tasks including digging, building, and back filling.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate activities on-site and ensure project timelines are met.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with loaders, excavators and skid steers.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.
- Valid Hoisting license is mandatory.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork on-site.
