Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled equipment operators to join our team. We are looking for operators to run excavators (80k lbs), loaders and/or bulldozers and are willing to assist in laboring as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavator and loader safely and efficiently to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Communicate with ground crew members and supervisors to ensure safe lifting operations and clear communication.
- Perform daily maintenance on equipment such as greasing.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Document daily activities, including equipment usage, maintenance performed, and any incidents that occur as needed.
- Help lay pipe, shovel or rake as needed.
Requirements
- Experience operating
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery is essential.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment
- Experience operating Komatsu machinery is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while following safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- Valid driver's license
- Valid 2A and 1C Hoisting Engineer License from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- OSHA 10 Hr
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and operate heavy machinery for extended periods.
- Ability to assist in laborering as need for tasks like forming, hand grading, lifting 80 lbs, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $50.00 per hour
